Baritone
Zachary Mascarinas is a Los Angeles-based baritone recognized for his expressive artistry and vibrant stage presence. He has performed with esteemed companies including Pacific Opera Project, Lyric Opera of OC, Opera Italia, CSULB Opera Institute, and Chicago Summer Opera. Notable performances include Harashta in The Cunning Little Vixen, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus, Vicar in Albert Herring, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, and Marcello in La Bohème. This summer, he will join Miami Music Festival to prepare the role of Figaro in Ghost of Versailles.
Zachary is also an emerging artist of distinction, having earned first place in the 2024 Southern California Philharmonic Young Artist Competition, second place in the 2025 Whitter Regional Symphony Young Artist Competition, and was a semi-finalist in the 2024 Opera Buffs Young Artist Competition. He is a proud recipient of the Martin Figoten Performing Arts Scholarship at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Muisc, where he continues his vocal studies under the tutelage of Dr. Jennifer Sung.
Outside of performance, Zachary is a dedicated educator teaching voice and piano at the Huntington Beach School of Music and serves as the bass section leader of the Los Altos United Methodist Sanctuary Choir.
